Uno is a 5 month old male Pit/Catahoula mix with an irresistible personality and an adorable multi-colored nose that is sure to make you smile. But as cute as he is, it's his loving heart that truly steals the show. Recently, Uno has been serving as the shelter's Office Dog, and he has been winning hearts everywhere he goes! He has enjoyed playtime with another pup, charmed the shelter staff, and shown everyone what a wonderful companion he can be. While Uno can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for him to blossom. Once he feels comfortable, this sweet boy transforms into a total cuddle bug who would happily curl up in your lap (or beside you) for all the love and affection you'll give him. Uno is also a smart young pup who has quickly learned excellent leash manners. He is gentle when meeting cats and other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes. Like any puppy, Uno always enjoys learning and discovering the world, but what he wants most is a family to share it with. He is ready to trade shelter life for a home filled with belly rubs, cozy naps, fun adventures, and people to love. After winning over everyone at the shelter, Uno is ready to find a forever family of his own … one where he can truly be Number One in someone's heart. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
