Leon is a male 6 year old Lab mix is an absolute sweetheart whose gentle, happy-go-lucky personality wins over everyone he meets. Whether he is greeting new friends with a sweet smile or showing off his impressive Sit, Leon is always eager to share his love. This handsome, lovable boy enjoys spending time with people and has done well meeting other dogs, although we do recommend a home without cats for him. Sadly, this isn't Leon's first stay at the shelter. He was here once before, three years ago, and has now found himself back again. Our hearts break knowing that this sweet boy is waiting once more, but we're hopeful that this time will truly be his forever. Leon deserves more than a kennel - he deserves a soft bed to curl up on, a family who looks forward to coming home to him each day, and a lifetime of love from people who will adore him as much as he adores them. If you're looking for an affectionate companion with a gentle soul and a heart full of love, Leon is ready to become your loyal best friend. So come meet Leon soon, and help make sure this wonderful boy never has to wonder where home is again.  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
