Description
Meet Button — a 2‑year‑old brindle pit bull with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to dim, even after life threw her a curveball. Button came to us after her owner lost both his job and his home in the same week. It was clear from the moment she arrived that she had been very loved — her gentle wiggles, soft eyes, and immediate affection toward new people say everything about the bond she once had and the love she’s ready to give again.Button is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She’s the type of dog who watches you closely, picks up on cues quickly, and genuinely enjoys training. Whether it’s new tricks, manners, or enrichment activities, she’s all in and excited to show off.She passed her dog test and would do well in a home with other dogs, especially those who enjoy playful, friendly company. During her cat test, Button did well overall — she stayed polite and curious — but she did get excited when a kitten darted around the room. She never became vocal or reactive, just enthusiastic. A dog‑savvy cat who’s comfortable with energetic dogs would be an ideal match for her.Button also has a softer side. She loves a sunny day where she can stretch out, sunbathe, and watch the world go by. She’s just as happy relaxing with her people as she is learning or playing, making her a wonderful balance of energy and calm.Button is ready for a home that can offer stability, affection, and continued guidance. If you’re looking for a loving, bright, eager‑to‑please companion who will greet you with joy every single day, Button is waiting to meet you.Button's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
