      Meet Luna!     Luna is a 10-lb, 9-year-old spayed Yorkie-mix female looking for a patient family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe. While her past wasn’t always kind to her, once she trusts you, her sweet and silly personality shines through.   Luna loves leisurely walks, lounging on the back of the couch to keep an eye on everything, and surprising her favorite people with a gentle ear lick when she wants some attention. She’s happiest spending quiet time with the people she loves.   Because Luna can be nervous in new situations, she’ll need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once she settles in, she’s affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home. She would likely do best as the only dog or with a calm, older dog who will respect her space and let her adjust at her own pace.   She is currently fostered in a home with mature kids.  Similar to dogs, we think she would do best in a home without kids OR in a home with calm, dog-savvy kids who will give her the space to adjust.   If you’re looking for a companion who will reward your patience with unwavering love and plenty of quirky moments, Luna may be the perfect match.
