Description
Hi, I’m Neena… Queen of the Kiddie Pool. I’m a 4-month-old cattle dog mix, so I’m equal parts adorable, clever, and just a little bit of a boss babe. My energy is about a 6/10—I’m always down for an adventure, but I also appreciate a good nap after I’ve properly supervised everyone. I'm about 15 lbs. right now, and I will likely grow into a medium sized pup ( 40-50lbs depending upon how many treats you share!) Let’s talk about my greatest passion in life: water. If you give me a kiddie pool, I will happily splash, lounge, and pretend I’m on a luxury vacation. Forget expensive dog beds—I have standards, and those standards involve floating my little paws in cool water. When it comes to making dog friends, I like to play it cool. I’m a bit cautious at first, honestly, stranger danger is a thing. I’d much rather be the one to make the first move. If another dog comes barreling toward me like we’re already besties… you’ll probably see me hit reverse faster than you’d expect. Once I know everyone is nice, though, I’m all about joining the fun! Since I’m a working breed, I do have a few herding instincts. Sometimes I like to remind my dog friends where they should be (you’re welcome ), but I’m a smart girl and take corrections really well. Tiny humans? Oh yes, please. I’ve met kids and absolutely adored them—especially one sweet little boy who was so gentle with me. I was just drawn right to him. My heart said, “Yep… this one’s a keeper.” Cats? Your guess is as good as mine. I’ve never met one, so that’s still a mystery waiting to be solved. I’m also pretty proud of my kennel manners. I’ve only had one accident, and honestly… my foster human admits that was completely their fault because work ran late. I actually love my kennel! Sometimes I wander in all by myself when I want a little peace and quiet. I sleep through the entire night (a solid 8 hours!) without making a peep. Well… except for the occasional hiccups. When I get them, I make tiny little “meep” noises that cause every human within earshot to immediately melt into a puddle. I can’t help being this cute. One of my signature moves is the famous Neena Head Tilt™. If something catches my attention, I’ll tilt my head back and forth while I try to figure it out. My foster family says it’s one of the cutest things they’ve ever seen… and honestly, they’re probably right. It’s my way of confirming that we’re actually in a conversation with active listening ( I know those with spouses/children understand how important mutual dialogue is- this box is with me! I won’t let you down!) Confession time: I haven't mastered potty training yet. I'm trying my best, but I'll need you to be patient with me and cheer me on while I learn! I’m an independent little soul who enjoys having my own space, but I absolutely thrive when I’m part of a pack—whether that’s with humans, dog friends, or (ideally) both. I love being included, making memories, and finding my place with my people. So… if you’re looking for a sweet, funny, water-loving, head-tilting, tiny-meeping, adventure-ready best friend with just the right amount of sass, I think we should meet. I’ll bring the personality—you just bring the kiddie pool. https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
