EDWARD NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Edward is Looking For:  As you can see in the video above, Edward was rescued off the street in Puerto Rico - he is a sato. We don't know if he was on the street for all of his approximately eight years, but we do know it's a very hard life, and this lovely, sweet gentleman deserves better.    He is looking forward to getting his own humans for sniffy walks, gentle exploration, quality kibble, and - at the end of the day - a cushy dog bed. But above all, he wants to know he'll be safe and loved, that he will never have to sleep on the street or scrounge for food again. In exchange, he offers loyal friendship and adoring gazes for all his days.   What do you say? Are you Edward's next - and forever - chapter? What My Foster Says About Me:   Edward is a complete and total love: a sweet, warm, and caring dog with deep, soulful eyes. He’s been through more than his fair share of hard times, but it certainly didn’t break him. Now that he’s somewhere safe, somewhere he can just be a dog, he is absolutely flourishing. He is cautious at first, but with some patience and kindness, he will show you just how much he appreciates his change of fortune, rewarding you with kisses, tail wags, and growing confidence. He acclimated well with his foster’s resident dogs, cats, and their 1-year-old godson. He did well at the dog park; and while his energetic puppy days may be behind him, he still shows flashes of playfulness with other dogs and with his favorite highland cow stuffy. He walks well on a leash, has good house manners, and overall is a “go with the flow” kind of dog. He loves scritches, especially on his face and legs, and most of all he’s just happy knowing his people are around. There are few things more rewarding than being the second chance for a dog like Edward. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
