Description
ABBY makes friends everywhere she goes! After her groom on Saturday at Steph’s Bubbles & Bows, she enjoyed a long walk and playtime back at the shelter, and introduced herself to a former adopter who dropped off donations for the shelter pets. Abby is on the “fluffy” side due to too much human food, from the stories we have heard. Obesity in dogs is a real thing, and spay surgery for overweight dogs is much more complicated. Ten pounds is her weight loss goal, and her new family will need to work hard to help her with that. We are seeing more of her lab characteristics as we spend time with her and introduce her to toys in the playyard. We were told she lived with cats (and her housemate-senior-cat Dexter was brought to the shelter at the same time), and kids. We hope to get a read on which dogs might be her best friends and encourage her to be more active in the next couple days. To visit 73-pound, three-year-old Abby, please start with an application: https://www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org/info/adoption.
