Description
Tank is a gentle, social, loving boy! When people are approaching, he perks up and just wants love. Tank arrived to us with a gnarly wound, and he could not have been more patient with it being clean and bandaged. It probably didn't feel great, but Tank clearly knows that we are helping him! He likes humans, and he's happy to be even in a shelter, but his ideal would be his own family. Tank would be there for you every day! Tank does test positive for FIV, which is not uncommon for males fighting on the street. This condition is only spread through deep bite wounds, and the lack of resources for outdoor cats lead to these fights. Indoor cats with stable social structures don't spread FIV, and Tank does GREAT with other cats. He's just happy to be here! Cats with FIV simply have a lowered immune system, and their lifespans are average. All Tank needs is good food, and indoor home, and prompt wellness care, the same as any Catsnap cat. Tank would like to add LOTS OF LOVE to his wish list! We don't think that's too much to ask. Apply to meet him and see what an angel he is! Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten! If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org. We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet. Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved. All CATsNAP cats and kittens are: Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
