Name:  Cooper        Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and Plott hound mix   Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of July 2026      SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  41 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with o   Cooper is Looking For:  His forever home! Cooperis a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He is in his prime as a young dog and hasn't seen enough of the world - he's eager to get his own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures his family can dream up. Making pup pals along the way would be great, as would going to dog school so he can show how super smart he is. Most of all, though, he wants to know where he belongs, to be safe and loved all his days.
