Description
Meet Deb! Let me tell ya about this sweet little gal. When Deb was about two months old, she had a severe reaction following a vaccine and became critically ill. For over a month, we weren't sure if she was going to make it. Every time we celebrated a small improvement, she'd take an even bigger step backward. She stopped eating, lost an alarming amount of weight, and became so frail that she truly looked... well... decrepit. We lovingly started calling her Decrepit Deb. It started as a lighthearted way to get through one of the hardest medical cases we'd seen. Little Decrepit Deb showed us she was in it to win it and wouldn't give up no matter how decrepit she became. Then one day, something changed. This tiny little kitten decided she wasn't going to give in. She started eating. She began gaining weight. Day by day, she got stronger, and before long she transformed into the happy, healthy, playful kitten she was always meant to be. Today, her name isn't a reflection of her appearance, it's a reminder of just how far she's come and how incredibly resilient she is. And if there's one thing Deb has taught us, it's that she's a survivor with the biggest heart. To say Deb is one of the sweetest kittens you'll ever meet would be an understatement. At bedtime, she'll happily claim the spot right above your head on your pillow because, obviously, that's where she belongs. She still has a comforting little habit of nursing on blankets, bath mats, your shirt, your arm... honestly, if it's soft and within reach, it's fair game. It's one of those adorable quirks that makes everyone who meets her smile. Deb is also convinced that water tastes better if it's in a bowl on the counter instead of on the floor. If you have fish in said bowl, even better! She loves chasing spring toys across the house, and she's quite the conversationalist. Meow at her once, and she'll happily carry on an entire conversation with you. Quite often she will seek you out to start a lengthy conversation. She always has something important to say. Deb adores other cats (although sometimes she can be a bit judgmental for a few days), gets along wonderfully with dogs, is great with kids, and loves every person she meets. She's easygoing, affectionate, and has the kind of gentle personality that fits into just about any family. If you're looking for a best friend who has already overcome more than most ever will, one who greets every day with love, gratitude, and a little bit of sass, Deb is your girl. Her nickname may make people stop and ask questions, but once you meet her, you'll never forget her story... or the incredible little kitten behind it. Deb has been spayed, microchipped, she is up to date on vaccines and negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee is $240.
