Description

Cooper is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie mix with a soft black and gold coat and an even softer heart. His favorite place is right by his person's side, and once he bonds with you, he'll happily follow you from room to room before curling up next to you for a cozy nap. One of his cutest habits is lounging on the back of the couch so he can keep an eye on everything you're doing.Cooper adjusted quickly to his foster home and has been a wonderful companion. He is house trained with regular walks, crate trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. While the crate is not his favorite place, he settles in well. He enjoys two or three short walks each day for potty breaks, but indoors he is perfectly content relaxing with his favorite person. He is not much of a toy enthusiast, although he will occasionally retrieve a tennis ball when the mood strikes.Cooper thrives on companionship and would love a home where someone is around often, although he handles time alone well and greets his people calmly when they return. He will bark when he sees people outside and may bark briefly when visitors first arrive, but he settles down quickly once he realizes everyone is a friend. On walks, Cooper can be reactive when passing people or other dogs, and he walks best in quieter areas. His foster believes he may not have had much socialization and would benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence. He adores a friend's small dog but has shown discomfort around larger dogs, so he may do well with another calm small dog or as your one and only.If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate little shadow who will shower you with love and never miss a chance to snuggle, Cooper may be the perfect match. With a little patience and continued guidance, this devoted little guy is sure to reward his new family with endless companionship and unconditional love.If you are interested in Cooper, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
