Doh! Little Homer Simp stops people in their tracks — a glossy black coat, bright expressive eyes, and a joyful little puppy face that seems to smile at the world. He’s goofy and uncomplicated like his cartoon namesake, but so wholehearted and precious, a gentle canine soul who trots over and wiggles for affection. Homer is outgoing, energetic, and eager to please; his strong playful spark is balanced by a soft, cuddly side that your lap won't be able to resist. He loves toys, enjoys exploring, and settles beautifully once he’s had his fun. Indoors, he’s polite and curious; outdoors, he’s a happy little adventurer. He’s calm in the car, clean/quiet in his crate, and already working on housetraining and leash skills. Homer is simply a gorgeous, lovable pup — the kind who makes every day feel lighter. Homer and his sister Maggie came from a rural property where the two puppies had been abandoned. Despite that rough start, both pups have shown nothing but confidence, resilience, and a natural trust in people. They’ve been raised in a typical foster home with adults, kids, and other dogs, giving them a strong foundation in social skills and daily routine. As young puppies, they’ll need a family ready to guide them through the basics — housetraining, crate time, leash walking, and manners — but they have the temperament, intelligence, and eagerness that will make training them a joy. Come say hello to the Simps! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
