Description
Meet Teddy, a 3-month-old German Shepherd and Lab mix with a soft golden coat, a big personality, and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is expected to grow into a large dog and is looking for an active family ready to help him continue building his confidence and enjoying all of life's adventures.Teddy is happiest when he is outside exploring the world. He loves rolling in the grass, soaking up fresh air, and chewing on sturdy toys while he works through teething. True to his name, he is as soft and cuddly as a teddy bear and enjoys stretching out with his head resting right on his favorite person's feet while they relax. This sweet puppy absolutely loves kids and is happy to let children of all ages pet him, hold him, and join him for playtime. He also does well with cats, showing curiosity while respecting their boundaries. While Teddy would be perfectly happy as the only dog, if he joins a home with another canine companion, that dog should be calm, confident, and patient enough to help him learn to be respectful while continuing to build his confidence.Because indoor living is a new experience for him, Teddy is still learning where and when to go potty. He is a smart pup who continues to make progress every day. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night, although he may let you know in the morning when he is ready to start his day. When meeting new people or dogs, Teddy can be a little shy at first. He may watch from a distance or offer a few small barks while he figures things out, but once he realizes he is safe, his happy and playful personality shines. His foster family has watched him grow more confident every day, and after just a few nights in their home, he settled into a routine and learned to trust the people around him.Teddy is a smart, active puppy who will need plenty of exercise and would love a home with a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and play. He enjoys being close to his people and may become vocal if he cannot be nearby, but his confidence continues to grow as he matures. Because he can bark when left alone, he is not a good fit for homes with shared walls. If you are looking for a playful, affectionate puppy who is eager to learn, loves children, and is ready for a lifetime of adventures, Teddy could be the perfect addition to your family. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, this sweet boy will make a loyal and wonderful companion. If you are interested in Teddy, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
