Kiwi (A142686) is a 1-and-a-half-year-old guinea pig who weighed over 2 lbs at intake!07/04/26 These fabulous and photogenic ladies are Kiwi and Pika! These girls were brought to the shelter due to no fault of their own. They were said to be shy with strangers, but they have been around children and were said to do well with kiddos. While at the shelter, we have noticed they really like their greens, and their previous owner said they would squeak when they heard the fridge open! If you aren't familiar with guinea pigs, we highly encourage doing your research prior to adoption. Guinea pigs are social creatures, so Kiwi and Pika are a bonded pair that we are requiring be adopted together. In addition to their regular pellet diet, guinea pigs need free access to hay, chews and a vitamin c source like kale, peppers or a supplement.
