Luna

Description

Luna and her brother Pete were found by a Good Samaritan having playtime in the middle of the road near Warrenton, NC.  Luna is vet aged at approximately 8 weeks old and weighs in currently at 5lbs. When full grown will most likely mature to around 40-45lbs. She is believed to be a pit/hound  mix,  Her brother looks more like a bully breed while she has a more petite face that makes her look more hound.    She is such a sweet girl who loves to play for short spurts and then enjoy a good nap snuggled up next to you or in your lap.  She almost always lays her head on me. Overall Luna has a very laid back demeanor and has taken to having a routine very well.  Both her and her brother have been crated during the day and at night to sleep,  with minimal accidents in the crate during that time.  While not fully potty trained, she will whine when she needs to go potty and has no problems using the bathroom outside. In fact it is the first thing she does each time she goes out.    During her time in foster so far she has lived/interacted with my three personal dogs (one small 8lbs, one medium 15lbs and one large 60lbs) and done extremely well with all of them.    Luna does excellent on car rides,  she will whine for a minute,  then settles down to sleep.  She does not get carsick.    She has been bathed several times already and did very well with that too.    Luna has managed to scale the walls of a puppy pen,  if she needs to be contained it will need to be in a crate to prevent her escaping!   Currently we are working towards walking on a leash,  and getting down some basic commands.  She is very smart and food motivated so I feel she will be a breeze to train!    Luna has received her first set of shots,  been dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, and also microchipped.  She is ready to find her forever family!
