Description

Meet Miss Prissy, a lovely senior girl (15 years) who is looking for a quiet home where she can enjoy all of life's simple comforts. This beautiful calico lady is happiest spending her days lounging in a cozy bed, soaking up the sunshine, or relaxing near her favorite people. Although Miss Prissy has a calm, laid-back personality, she still enjoys the occasional burst of playtime and will happily bat around a favorite toy when she's feeling playful. This beautiful lady has a gentle, affectionate side and loves being close to the people she trusts. Whether she's curling up beside you on the couch or quietly keeping you company, she's content just being near her family. Miss Prissy isn't afraid to ask for pets when she's in the mood, and will sometimes reward her favorite people with a sweet little head butt to let them know she loves them.Though she isn't especially vocal, she has a quiet way of letting you know when she'd like a little extra attention.Because Miss Prissy is naturally quiet and reserved, she needs a family that understands that trust takes time. New people, unfamiliar sounds, and changes in her environment can make her feel uncertain, so she'll often retreat to a favorite hiding spot where she can watch everything from a safe distance. This calm sweetheart prefers to observe at her own pace and decide when she's ready to come out and say hello. Once she realizes she's safe, her gentle personality slowly begins to blossom, and the bond you build with her is incredibly rewarding.Miss Prissy has mild arthritis. She's received two shots and hasn't shown any signs of pain since receiving the shots. She moves around well and will jump on the bed and desk for cuddles often. Her forever people should be committed to continuing this protocol, so she can live her best, pain-free life. As a mature cat, she has also had some damaged teeth removed but she eats well. She prefers dry food though she will eat wet food (chicken or salmon) on occasion.Miss Prissy is living in a home where she takes things at her own cautious speed. She shares her space with a Labrador; so far, Miss Prissy has had limited interaction with him but displays indifference to his presence. Her loving foster family has older teens; she may also do well in a home with gentle, cat-savvy younger children (5+) who are able to respect her boundaries. She has previously lived with other cats and a dog.Miss Prissy would do best in a calm, patient home where her family will allow her to settle in without rushing the process. With love, understanding, and plenty of cozy places to nap, she'll become a loyal companion who enjoys quiet moments, gentle affection, and simply sharing life with the people she loves. If you're looking for a sweet senior cat who will appreciate a peaceful home and reward your patience with quiet companionship and heartfelt affection, Miss Prissy may be the purr-fect addition to your family. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
