Meet Michael Stripe, a high-energy cuddle bug whose mission in life is simply to love and be loved in return. A chatty, social prince, he’s perfectly capable of holding up his end of the conversation and is eager to be some lucky human’s dialogue partner for life. The ever-playful Michael Stripe also loves other cats — and he would therefore also appreciate a kind, accepting, playful young feline brother or sister of his very own. A great day for Michael Stripe looks like: * Snuggling and napping with his favorite human(s). * Romping around—and then cuddling!— with a likeminded young kitty. * Playing with all kinds of cat toys, including and especially his buddy Lambchop. * Ekekekekeke-ing out the window at birds! * Being the handsomest and most photogenic boy, from his little pink tongue to the black polka dot on his belly. Michael Stripe stats: He is about a year old, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, litter box trained, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped, and dewormed. Sweet and affectionate Michael Stripe is working to break a few habits from his early days on the street — and he’s a good student so far! For example, he was taught by a local teen that human hands are toys, and so he can get a little grabby — mostly around mealtimes. But as he continues to realize that he no longer has to fight other cats for food his insecurity and anxiety will continue to abate. He will also give gentle love nips, but has thus far responded well to patient and kind boundaries. He may have juvenile/eruptive gingivitis and need to have his teeth brushed. Michael Stripe is looking forward to finding his forever family! Bonus points for Gen-X-ers who get where his name came from! But don’t worry— Michael Stripe is willing to educate you about REM himself. Just say hello.
