That's when Rainbow Dash came to FFF.Since then, this sweet boy has spent most of his life in foster care, moving from home to home and wondering when someone would finally notice him and say, “You're the one. Come home with me.” And honestly, we just don't understand how he's still waiting.Maybe it's because Rainbow Dash is “just” a tabby.He's not a tiny kitten. He doesn't have a flashy coat or fancy breed markings that immediately catch someone's eye. He's simply a handsome, healthy boy with big, beautiful eyes, an extra-long tail, and an absolutely enormous heart.But here's the thing about Rainbow Dash:There is nothing ordinary about him. When Rainbow Dash first came to us, he had been abandoned outside a PetSmart and was understandably frightened and confused. He needed time to learn that people could be trusted and that he was finally safe.And once he did?He blossomed. Now Rainbow Dash is an incredibly affectionate boy who loves his people. He purrs, rubs his face all over his humans, stretches those long back legs out in complete relaxation, and loves settling into his favorite pillow. He'll even stand up on his hind legs while sitting on his foster mom's lap just to give her the sweetest little head bumps right to her face. That's Rainbow Dash.A big, sweet boy who just wants to be loved.But don't mistake his cuddly side for laziness! Rainbow Dash has a wonderfully playful personality, too. He loves rolling around on the floor with his catnip kicker toys and chasing wand toys—and this boy is a seriously impressive jumper! He's also discovered that one of his greatest talents is being a foster dad. Rainbow Dash has lived with kittens in foster care and has been incredibly gentle with them. Despite being much bigger, he happily wrestles and plays with his tiny friends while somehow knowing exactly how gentle he needs to be. This is a cat with so much love to give.Rainbow Dash can be a little shy when he's faced with new situations, loud noises, or sudden movements. He's not a fan of big, chaotic crowds and would do best in a calmer home where he can take his time settling in. But give him patience and the opportunity to build trust, and you'll discover an incredibly loving companion who wants nothing more than to be near his people.And we think he would make a wonderful family cat. Rainbow Dash loves people and would likely do beautifully with gentle, respectful children who understand that cats need to be approached calmly and given time to feel comfortable. He has also done wonderfully with other cats and seems to enjoy having feline friends around. A kitty companion—or even two!—would likely be a wonderful addition to his forever home.After all these years, Rainbow Dash isn't asking for anything extravagant.He doesn't need a mansion.He doesn't need a fancy pedigree.He doesn't need to be the most eye-catching cat in the room.He just needs a family who will love him.A family who will appreciate his big, sweet eyes.His ridiculously long tail.His impressive jumping skills.His goofy little head bumps.His gentle nature with kittens.His purrs and face rubs.And all the love he's been patiently saving for his forever people.
