Meet Canary!Canary came to the shelter as a stray on 1/20 and has been showing us just how much personality can fit into one dog! Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him, and he tends to let everyone know how he’s feeling—he can be quite vocal in his kennel and eager to get out and get moving. It’s clear that he’s a dog who would much rather be out exploring the world than hanging out behind kennel doors.Once outside, Canary is full of energy and enthusiasm. He can get a little carried away at times, especially when there’s a lot going on around him, and may need some guidance to help him focus and settle. He has shown behaviors like leash biting and getting a bit overly excited near other dogs, so he benefits from structured handling and clear direction to help him make good choices.In playgroup, Canary shows a more social and playful side. He enjoys interacting with other dogs that match his play style. With some guidance, he can be redirected and continue engaging appropriately.Underneath all that energy is a fun, spirited dog who just needs the right outlet. Canary would thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of activity, along with patience as he learns how to better channel his excitement.With the right environment and support, Canary’s big personality and zest for life have the potential to shine in all the best ways.
