Description

This lovely Dachshund mix is a spayed female looking for a patient, experienced home that understands the unique traits of her breed. She responds well to verbal cues, including “sit,” and takes treats gently, showing great potential for continued training. She would thrive in a calm, quiet, adult-only environment that can also provide an active, structured routine with daily leash walks and consistent guidance. Due to her shy quiet personality (she takes time to warm up with new people), occasional aloof nature, and asocial tendencies with other dogs, she is not suitable for homes with children and may do best as the only dog in the home. Any dog introductions should be done slowly and in a controlled setting. A securely fenced backyard is required to support her comfort and exercise needs. She is not a candidate for off-leash parks at this time, as she will need to build recall skills and create a strong bond with her new family.
