Avery

***Avery is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. She is scheduled to attend our adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, New Jersey over the July 11th weekend. Questions about Avery and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.** Very shortly after a couple moved into their new home, they quickly became aware of the lack of empathy shown towards dogs and puppies within their own neighborhood. Their neighbor was the owner of a Bulldog that had recently had a litter of three pups that wasn't even being denied provided the very basics of care, such as proper feeding, shelter, or vet care. As badly as the mom appeared, her young puppies were suffering even more. The owner even denied any knowledge of the pups and and said she didn't care what happened to them. The couple took in the pups and knew exactly who to call for help as they had previously adopted two dogs from SoCo Rescue and have been supporters ever since.  Avery can best be described as being a "mush". Her very friendly, calm and gentle personality is simply amazing, despite the lack of love that she'd been shown by her former owner. As did her sisters, Amber and Aggy, she also suffered from mange and flea infestation until becoming a SoCo pup. In no time, we were able to get Avery back to good health, something that she constantly shows her appreciation for. Avery will do best in a low-commotion home and should coexist with another dog rather well.  Avery has received all three of her first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites on proper intervals and kept up to date on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm (Nexgard Plus) preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Avery spay once she reaches the proper age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Avery will require all of her basic training.
