Description

***Aggy is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. She is scheduled to attend our adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, New Jersey over the July 11th weekend. An application for her adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Aggy and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.** Very shortly after a couple moved into their new home, they quickly became aware of the lack of empathy shown towards dogs and puppies within their own neighborhood. Their neighbor was the owner of a Bulldog that had recently had a litter of three pups that wasn't even being denied provided the very basics of care, such as proper feeding, shelter, or vet care. As badly as the mom appeared, her young puppies were suffering even more. The owner even denied any knowledge of the pups and and said she didn't care what happened to them. The couple took in the pups and knew exactly who to call for help as they had previously adopted two dogs from SoCo Rescue and have been supporters ever since.  As did her two sister (Amber and Avery), Aggy arrived with a severe case of flea infestation and mange. Being twice the size of her sisters it was easy to see that Aggy was also having some issues with her hind legs. While she had only known humans to be rather uncaring, she was very eager to make friends with us and has a very gentle disposition towards us. She should, however, do very well in a home with another dog and even children who are familiar with the proper approach to a slightly timid dog. Aggy has received all three of her first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites on proper intervals and kept up to date on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm (Nexgard Plus) preventatives. The issue with her hind legs appears to be from a vitamin deficiency brought on by the lack of proper food and treatment while with her former owner. As she has grown, this issues seems to be correcting on it's own. Her adopter must agree to having Aggy spay once she reaches the proper age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Aggy will require all of her basic training.
