Frieda

Description

Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location   MEET FRIEDA Frieda is a 55-pound Pit Bull/Shar Pei mix who has been waiting far too long for someone to choose her. Frieda came to us as a stray on June 5, 2025. At around 11 years old, this sweet senior has already endured more than any dog should. She was repeatedly bred and suffered from severe, untreated ear infections that left scars on her face from the pain and constant scratching. But somehow, through it all, Frieda’s heart still shines. She absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than receiving affection, attention, and being close to her humans.Frieda is currently in a foster home and would do best as the only pet in the home. Because she resource guards her food, she also needs a home without small children. She may have had a difficult past, but Frieda deserves a peaceful future. At her age, she shouldn't have to spend another day wondering where she belongs. She deserves a soft bed, a loving person, and a family who will cherish her through her golden years. AND HER ADOPTION FEE IS ALREADY PAID! Thanks to an incredibly generous sponsor, Frieda's adoption fee has been covered. Her forever family just needs to find her. Could you be the person who gives this deserving senior the happy ending she's been waiting for? 2620 Hwy 81, Owensboro, KY 42301 Apply to adopt: itvrescue.orgPlease share Frieda. Her person could be out there waiting to find her.  All of our dogs are  given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
