Description
River is a friendly pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. River is ready to leave his past behind and start the life he’s always deserved. This sweet, loving boy came to us as part of a cruelty case, but you’d never know it from the way he greets the world—with a wagging tail, a playful spirit, and a heart full of love. River looks like a pittie/lab mix, but at just 30 pounds fully grown, he’s the perfect “pocket-sized” companion—small enough for easy living, big enough to fill your home with joy. River is friendly, affectionate, and just the right amount of goofy to keep you smiling every day. He loves to play, soak up attention, and be part of whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a cozy night on the couch, River is all in. Most of all, River is ready for a second chance—a safe, loving home where he can finally be someone’s cherished dog. Could that be with you? River tested negative for heartworm and up to date on vaccines. He will need to be spayed and microchipped when he arrives to NJ, this will require a trip to our spay/neuter clinic in Holmdel, which we cover. His adoption donation is $500. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
