Birthday: June 1, 2023 Meet Duchess ! Duchess is a sweet, curious girl with a playful personality and plenty to say! She came to rescue from a heartbreaking hoarding situation after her owner passed away. More than 40 cats and kittens were left behind in a home that had become unlivable and heavily infested with fleas. Despite her difficult start, Duchess has remained a happy, affectionate cat who is ready for a fresh beginning. Duchess enjoys exploring her surroundings, chatting with her people, and lounging on the couch for a cozy nap. She gets along well with other cats and isn't bothered if a grumpy feline hisses at her.  She simply goes about her day without causing any trouble. One of Duchess' favorite things is food! She isn't picky and happily enjoys just about anything that's offered. Since coming into foster care, she's already started filling out, so she'll do best with an adopter who can help her maintain a healthy weight through portion control and regular playtime. Duchess currently has some thin patches of fur caused by a flea allergy from her previous living conditions. With good nutrition, a flea-free home, and a little time, her beautiful coat should continue to grow back. Duchess' adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
