Description
Meet Honey! Honey is a 3½-year-old sweetheart with the gentlest soul. She has come a long way, but she’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. Because of this, she is looking for a very patient and understanding adopter who will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Honey absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. She also gets along well with cats and is wonderful in her crate. She is an extremely timid girl and will need several weeks—possibly longer—to fully decompress in a new home. New people can be very scary for her, and earning her trust takes time. Her future family should understand that she may not be comfortable being touched right away, and that’s okay. Giving her the space and patience she needs will help her build confidence and form an incredible bond when she’s ready. Honey currently takes medication to help manage her anxiety, and she has been doing well with the extra support. Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a quiet home without children. A securely fenced yard is also preferred, as it will provide her with a safe environment to explore and gain confidence. Honey isn’t looking for a perfect home—she’s looking for the right one. If you’re the kind of person who understands that love isn’t always instant and are willing to let her blossom on her own timeline, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most loyal companions you could ever ask for. Could you be the patient, compassionate person Honey has been waiting for?
