Waffles is a 3 year old neutered male tabby. Here’s what his foster volunteer says about him:   How would you describe the cat's general personality? Waffles is incredibly affectionate and quite talkative. He loves to be petted and to cuddle up to his humans. When he feels playful (which is not super often) he loves to play hide and seek! Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes.  If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Everywhere! He loves to be stroked from head to tail and appreciates head scratches. While napping he'll often show me his belly and doesn't mind being pet there either. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? No.  Does the cat come on your lap? No, not directly sitting on my lab but he likes to sleep cuddled up by my side. Does the cat like to be held? No, but he will tolerate it. Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes.  Does the cat seek your attention? Yes. Does the cat like to play? Sometimes. What are the cat's favorite games and toys? He likes to play hide and seek, his favorite toy is anything on or with a string. How vocal is the cat? Very much.    What kinds of sounds does the cat make? He mostly meows, and loves to chirp at birds outside. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes. If no, please explain. Does the cat always use the litter box? Yes. If no, please explain. What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? He's currently solely on dry food.   Is the cat picky about food? No, he will outright ask for dinner when he knows it's almost time. What is the cat's favorite treat? He likes any chicken flavored treat.   What medication is the cat on, and how is it administered? N/A Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? No. Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No. Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No. To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? He is quite social even with new people.   If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? N/A Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? He is very curious about the outside world and will not hesitate to let you know. He also subconsciously kneads the air with his paws whenever he is getting pets in bed (it is the cutest thing ever especially because of his thumbs). In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Waffles is a loyal companion who is only ever seeking affection and the best window sill view. He loves to talk to his preferred humans and gets so excited for a bedtime cuddle. He is a very warm cat and lives a super low maintenance lifestyle. For the most part you can find him curled up on his cat tree looking out the window while enjoying the summer breeze.  What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Sometimes he will get very vocal especially when looking out an open window. This can lead to higher energy levels at night time so before bed I close the windows while leaving the blinds open and the seems to keep him calm.
