Melvin

Description

Melvin is a total lovebug, cuddle partner and will shower you with kisses. He knows his basic commands and is treat motivated. He came from a hoarding situation where food was probably scarce and was first come first served so he will need a slow feeder as it helps him slow down. He has learned to take turns for treats with his foster brother. He is an attention seeker and hoards attention a bit with other pets but is learning to take turns with that as well. He gets along fabulously with his foster sibling. He gets excited when he sees other dogs on the television and is sure to let them know they are in his space. He is a champ at grooming but hates bathes. Melvin is hesitant about being outdoors and having a harness or leash on. He is extremely shy with strangers and it will take someone with patience to let him decompress on his own terms . .but once that happens it will be soooo worth the wait! He is potty pad trained and it is felt he will quickly pick up housebreaking skills if he has a secure yard to learn in. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Melvin's adoption fee is $200.
