Meet Scout! This little sweetheart is sure to melt your heart. Scout has the most darling puppy-dog eyes and the sweetest, gentlest personality. Scout is a tiny 2-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing just 4 pounds. We think she may even have a little Miniature Pinscher in her, too! When it became clear this precious girl needed rescue, GreenDog Foundation jumped into action to make sure she was safe. She’s a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, all she wants is to be close to her people. Scout will be available for adoption soon! We’d love to give her about a week to settle into foster care before she heads to her forever home. If you’d like to be considered, you’re welcome to submit an adoption application now. She has already received her first puppy vaccinations and deworming. She will receive her booster vaccines, and her spay will be included when she’s old enough. Because Scout is so tiny, her future family must be especially vigilant. Small puppies can be vulnerable not only to coyotes, but also to birds of prey, so predator awareness is essential whenever she’s outside. Home checks are part of our adoption process.
