Description
Coral is an approximately 8 month old mixed breed girl who came to us from one of our rescue friends. She's a "Rez dog", meaning she was found on a Reservation in South Dakota. These dogs are among some of the most in need dogs around as they face a very uncertain future if not helped. She was under 30 pounds upon arrival and she will likely remain a medium-sized dog. She will be vet checked and spayed on July 7th and her fee is $150. Coral has an appearance similar to that of many Rez dogs, and many of them tend to be mixed with shepherd, husky, and herding breeds. We have no way of knowing exactly, though, but Coral is an absolute sweetheart of a dog. She does need some basic obedience training (what's a leash?), but is happy and eager to please. We do think she'd do well with kids and other dogs. Cats? She's young enough to learn to interact appropriately with them. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
