Location: Belvidere, NJ   Meet Coriander, affectionately known as Cori! Cori is a beautiful 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a heart as big as her adorable ears. At approximately 35 pounds, she’s the perfect size for both adventures and couch cuddles, and she’s searching for a patient, understanding family to call her own. Like many cattle dogs, Cori is deeply loyal and forms incredibly strong bonds with her people. While she may be a little reserved when meeting someone new, don’t let that fool you—once she decides you’re part of her inner circle, you’ll be rewarded with belly rub requests, sweet smiles, and a best friend for life. Watching Cori blossom and let her personality shine is truly something special. Cori is a medium-energy girl who enjoys the best of both worlds. Looking for a hiking buddy, running partner, or companion for outdoor adventures? Cori is ready to lace up her imaginary hiking boots and join you! Prefer a cozy night at home binge-watching your favorite shows? She’s more than happy to curl up nearby and keep you company. Cori is a smart girl who would love activities that challenge both her mind and body. Barn hunt, scent work, or other confidence-building sports would be a wonderful outlet for her and a great way to strengthen the bond with her future family. Because new situations can still be a little overwhelming for her, Cori is looking for an adopter who will continue helping her build confidence and celebrate all of her successes—big and small. In foster care, she has already made tremendous progress and continues to grow more confident every day. With patience, understanding, and lots of love, there’s no doubt that Cori will continue to thrive. Cori enjoys the company of male dogs and would thrive in a home with a well-matched male companion or as your one-and-only canine princess. Due to her strong prey drive, she is looking for a cat-free home. A secure, physically fenced yard is also required so she can safely explore, play, and enjoy the sunshine. At bedtime, Cori’s favorite place to be is snoozing on a cozy dog bed next to her foster parents’ bed. While she is still working through some crate anxiety, she willingly enters her crate and has been making wonderful progress. One of Cori’s sweetest qualities is just how quiet she is—you won’t hear much barking from this lovely girl! Cori is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She’s healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever family!
