Description

THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY*** **WAG ON INN HAS NO FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ANIMAL'S REACTIONS AND CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BEHAVIORAL OR MEDICAL ISSUES Apollo is a senior shepherd/chow chow mix(best guess) who we think looks like a large basenji!  Apollo is living with another dog (Kobe) and with someone who is no longer physically able to care for him. When our surrender team volunteers met Apollo, he was friendly with them and their dog… he greeted them with lots of tail wags.  Apollo is a quiet friendly guy- good with all people he meets and dogs.  He doesn't seem to be a fan of cats. He has never lived with children but may be fine with older kids.  He is calm and loving and appears to be much younger than he is.  He loves his walks but can use a little help learning to walk on a leash without pulling.   This handsome senior cutie could be a great companion and an easy to care for guy.  We think he would be a great fit for many types of families. He is here in NJ ready to meet you! He is neutered and will be microchipped, brought up to date on all vaccines, and heartworm tested prior to being placed with a foster or adopter. He recently had his senior bloodwork done and he is overall an healthy boy.    Apollo is coming to us through our owner surrender program. He will remain under the care of his owner until he is officially transferred to an approved Wag On Inn foster or adopter. His adoption fee is $300. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
