Tina #6 | 8 Month Pittie Mix | Your Toy-Hiding, Belly-Up Best Friend Tina is an 8-month-old brindle pittie mix with a sweet, playful personality and a heart full of love for her people. At around 20 pounds, she’s the perfect size for snuggles—and she takes that role seriously. Tina is a total cuddle bug who loves to rest her head on you, offer her paw for attention, and roll over for belly rubs whenever she gets the chance. She also has a fun, quirky side—she’ll happily “dance,” hide her toys, and keep herself entertained with just about anything she can chew or toss around. She has a medium energy level and is happiest with a couple of short walks or play sessions each day, followed by plenty of downtime lounging with her humans. Tina walks great on leash, enjoys toys and bones, and is highly motivated by food, affection, and play, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She already knows commands like “come,” “no,” and “leave it,” and has been responding well to structure and boundaries in her foster home. Tina is almost fully house trained and will let you know she needs to go out by whining or standing by the door. She does well in a crate with a little encouragement and settles after a brief protest. She has also done great when left home alone for up to 6–8 hours, especially when another dog is around. Socially, Tina does well with dogs of all sizes and has shown positive interactions across the board, though she can be a little nervous around very forward dogs. She also does well with cats and may bark in an attempt to initiate play. Tina has been great with kids of all ages and shows no preference between men and women—she truly just loves people. Like many young pups, Tina is still working on a few manners, including play biting and jumping when she gets excited, but she is eager to learn and improve with guidance. Her ideal home would be one where she can get lots of love and attention, as she is very people-oriented and thrives on companionship. She would likely enjoy a mildly adventurous lifestyle with activities like walks, hikes, or even camping trips. Tina came to us as a surrender after being found with a significant wound on her chin, likely from neglect, but she has not let that dim her spirit. She is resilient, loving, and ready for a fresh start with a family who will give her the care and affection she deserves.
