Rosie is a tiny survivor with the biggest heart. This sweet young Chihuahua mix weighs just 10 pounds and is ready to find the forever family she’s always deserved. She was found wandering rural country roads in North Carolina with her two friends. Based on their circumstances, we suspect they may have been used for breeding. Thankfully, all three are now safe and getting the love and care they’ve always needed.When Rosie first arrived in foster care, she was understandably timid and scared. With patience and kindness, she has made wonderful progress and continues to blossom every day. She may still be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes a devoted little shadow. She absolutely loves attention, cuddling, and belly rubs, and nothing makes her happier than being close to her people.Rosie gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and would be happy in a home with or without another canine companion. She hasn’t been introduced to cats yet. She is potty trained and sleeps well in her crate at night and while her foster parents are at work. She may whimper for a minute or two when first crated, but settles down quickly.Rosie recently tested positive for heartworms and has already started treatment. The good news is that her prognosis is excellent, and BCAA will cover all costs associated with completing her heartworm treatment after adoption, so her new family can focus on loving her while she finishes her road to recovery.One look into Rosie’s stunning blue eyes and you’ll be smitten.
