Meet Ralphie Approximately 2 Years Old | 45 lbs Ralphie is a fun-loving, athletic young dog with a goofy personality and a heart full of love for his people. Whether he's playing an endless game of fetch, soaking up the sunshine in the yard, hiking wooded trails, or "fighting" the garden hose, Ralphie is happiest when he's active and enjoying life. He has done wonderfully at doggie daycare, gets along well with other dogs, and would likely enjoy a canine companion with a similar play style. A home without cats is recommended, as he enjoys chasing them. He is house trained, knows his "go to bed" command, has worked with professional trainers, and settles well at home. He loves having access to a fenced yard where he can relax in the sun, and at the end of the day he'd happily curl up on the couch—or even better, in bed with his favorite person.  Like many young dogs, Ralphie thrives with structure, routine, and clear expectations. He has shown some resource guarding around especially high-value items such as bones or favorite resting spots. These behaviors have occurred in very specific situations and are best managed through proactive handling—simply avoiding high-value chews around children, providing him with his own designated space, and maintaining consistent household rules. Ralphie has **no bite history**, and with appropriate management he is a loving, loyal companion.  Ralphie would do best in an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to respect a dog's space and routines. He is looking for an experienced owner who appreciates an active dog and understands the value of leadership, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He's not a fan of car rides and can be nervous around fireworks, thunder, and loud traffic, so a quieter home with a fenced yard would be ideal. Give him a tennis ball, a sunny spot in the yard, and someone to love, and Ralphie is one happy dog. At just 2 years old, Ralphie has so much potential.
