Description

APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org  Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!  Blossom & Bubbles Blossom and Bubbles are two adorable Aussie-mix puppies coming to DASH from Nacogdoches, Texas, where they have been lovingly cared for by a wonderful foster family, including an eight-year-old girl who has helped give them an amazing start in life!Their mother was an Australian Shepherd, but we believe the girls may have different fathers—which is actually possible within the same litter.Bubbles looks the most like a typical Australian Shepherd. We expect her to mature to around 40 pounds and remain a medium-sized dog. She could be mixed with Border Collie or another shepherd-type breed, but nothing too large, as her growth and weight have been consistent with a medium-sized dog. Blossom is expected to be somewhat smaller, likely around 30 pounds full grown. Based on feedback from volunteers, foster families, and breed identification software, most guesses suggest she may be mixed with Jack Russell or Parson Russell Terrier. Some of us even think she has a bit of a Beagle look! Both girls have been impeccably cared for. They have already received two sets of puppy vaccinations, deworming, rabies vaccinations, and microchips. They will be completely ready for their new homes, and DASH will coordinate and cover their spay surgeries when they are approximately six months old.We are seeking separate homes for each puppy, ideally with one or more canine companions. A young, playful male dog of similar size and energy level would be the perfect match. Both girls are medium-energy puppies who enjoy playtime and exercise, but they are also happy to settle down and relax after they’ve had fun. They are already crate trained and housebroken, although adopters should anticipate occasional minor setbacks since they are still very young puppies. Both Blossom and Bubbles are exceptionally smart and responsive to training. They love praise just as much as treats and are affectionate, cuddly puppies who enjoy being close to their people. Although they’re still babies, they’re ahead of the curve thanks to living indoors with a dedicated foster family that has worked extensively on crate training and housebreaking—the hardest part of raising a puppy! The girls love toys and chewies. They may chase a ball and decide not to bring it back, but they have plenty of time to master retrieval! We are looking for families where someone is home for a good portion of the day and has the time, affection, and attention to devote to a young puppy. Their dream homes would include at least one playful canine companion who is larger than they are and young enough to enjoy an active lifestyle. If you’re interested in meeting either Blossom or Bubbles, please complete an adoption application at:www.dashdog.org Then text Sara at:214-549-9905 so that your application can be reviewed and an adoption meeting can be arranged! General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
