Meow meet Mac! A beautiful tortoiseshell with a heart as lovely as her coat! Mac is the kind of cat who enjoys having little conversations with her people. She’ll happily chat back when you talk to her, as if she’s making sure you’re both on the same page. She’s sweet, affectionate, and loves gentle pets, finding comfort in simply being close to the people she trusts. Recently, Mac’s world was turned upside down when her family had to move and could no longer keep her or her feline friend Ronnie. Though Mac and Ronnie were in the same home they are not a bonded pair and can be adopted separately. Even though everything has changed, Mac has not lost her sweet loving personality. She just need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once she knows she is safe, she will reward you with gentle companionship and unconditional love. Mac is declawed and cat selective so she must be the only cat in the home. She would do best with older respectful children in a calm environment where she can settle in at her own pace. While our rescue prohibits declawing of the cats in our care, we would never turn away a cat who has already been declawed. We are committed to finding cats like Mac the safe, loving future she deserves. She didn’t ask for her life to change, or for the home she loved to disappear. What Mac is asking for now is simple - a quiet place to belong, a family willing to give her time, and a promise this goodbye will be her last.
