Nala is a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent dog who loves her people and enjoys being part of the family. She is leash trained, rides well in the car, and has a playful side that comes out when she's spending time with those she trusts. Nala is obedient, eager to please, and naturally protective of her home, while also being gentle and loving with both adults and children. Because she has a very strong prey drive, she needs a home without cats or other small animals, and she is not a good match for homes with small dogs. She can be cautious and reactive when meeting unfamiliar dogs, but with slow, controlled introductions and experienced handling, she has successfully learned to coexist with some dogs her size or larger. Nala will do best with a securely fenced yard and an owner who understands the importance of proper management and continued structure. In the right home where her needs are understood, Nala is a loyal, devoted companion who will reward her family with endless love, companionship, and a playful spirit.
