LION NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Lion       Best Guess for Breed:  Shih tzu mix Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of June 2026         SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   12.5 lbs as of 6/23/26; he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Lion is Looking For:  His forever home! This young boy is at the tail end of puppyhood and is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed.   He also needs an adopter who will commit to daily thorough brushing and regular professional grooming. Lion's coat is high maintenance, mats are painful, and he deserves better than to walk around with a painful coat.Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say?
