Apollo (A132525) is a 5-year-old Siberian Husky x Akita mix who weighed 46.8 pounds on intake! 06/23/26 This lover boy is Apollo! Apollo was surrendered to the shelter because his owners were struggling with keeping him contained. He was known to jump fences and had a seizure after they tried him on an electric boundary collar. Apollo is an active boy and he is looking for a home that can provide him with daily exercise. He should always be kept on a leash when outdoors. Apollo was said to be kennel trained, rides well in a car, and knows the command sit! He was known to be a chewer so providing him with appropriate chew toys is important! Apollo was said to do fabulous with the children in the home, but was known to sometimes bark at strangers (particularly men). However, after appropriate introductions were made he was their friend! Apollo was also said to do well with other dogs, but was known to have a high prey drive. He should not go to a home with smaller-sized animals (small dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc).
