This big handsome boy is O’Malley and he is very ready to meet and fall in love with his forever match. O’Malley is passionate about cuddles, cat nip, and food. He believes life should be about love, not drama. When O’Malley first arrived at the shelter, he was missing large patches of fur. It became clear that this was the result of self-harming behaviors that were induced by stress. After getting his own quiet room with a foster, and starting some anxiety meds, he ceased engaging in this behavior and has grown back all of his beautiful coat. He is unlikely to thrive in a high energy home with kids and/or young animals. He has not been around other animals since going to foster care, but it seems probable that he could adjust to life with other animals if they are equally fond of a calm and quiet lifestyle. He was made to be a lap cat. When his foster goes to see him, he meows until she sits down so he can get in her lap. He often wants to put one of his paws on your hand while you utilize the other one to pet him. On occasion, he will put his paw to your lips and look deep into your eyes searching for the secrets of your heart. If you try to read and hold him, he will try to knock the book away for a bit and then give up and resign himself to being pet with just one hand. If you are feeling under snuggled, O’Malley may be the perfect boy to add to your life.
