Description
Introducing Kitten Rue. At just 8–10 weeks young, this adorable little girl is as laid-back as they come. Rue has a calm, easygoing personality and takes life in stride. Rue is deaf, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. She has adapted beautifully and is just as playful, curious, and affectionate as any other kitten. With proper introductions, we think she'd do well with a cat-savvy dog, other friendly cats, and respectful children. Deaf cats are incredibly adaptable, relying on their eyesight, sense of smell, and the vibrations around them to navigate the world. They thrive on predictable routines, with meals, litter boxes, beds, and playtime kept consistent. To get Rue's attention, simply flick the room light on and off once or twice or use a flashlight pointed at the floor (never in her face) from across the room. Rue doesn't see her deafness as a limitation—and neither should you. She is a sweet, easygoing kitten looking for a family who will love her for exactly who she is. Rue’s adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org Paws and Prayers kittens are spayed/neutered, have received at least two vaccines (adopter responsible for third kitten booster and rabies), have had a littermate or themselves FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.
