FIONA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Fiona         Best Guess for Breed:   Terrier and shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of June 2026         SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  15.5 lbs as of 6/24/26; she is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   Fiona is shy right now and needs to go to a home with a friendly resident dog who will show her the ropes!   Fiona is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie is at the tail end of puppyhood and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures that well loved family pets get - but she is a little shy right now and needs extra patient and loving adopters who will help her build confidence.  A welcoming resident dog who shows her how to dog and dog school will help her build her braves too!Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Does Fiona have a spot in your home and your heart?
