Description
A JOYFUL, ACTIVE & SWEET DOG: Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 24 lbs. Hi there! My name is Linden! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m so glad they brought me into the Mostly Mutts family. I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I’m ready to find a family of my very own. I think that is the best news ever! I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! I was adopted for a week, but I just wasn’t a good fit for the kitty cats in the home, so I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for my new family. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did best with the more mellow dogs, so if you have a dog like this, let’s meet! / I’m way too interested in kitties to live with them, so no cats for me. / I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and liked them, but I was mouthy when they ran, and a little mouthy with the kids in my temporary adoptive home, too, so a home with kids ages at least 10 and up could be a good fit for me. Let’s meet! I wasn’t mouthy to be mean – it’s just my play style. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a playful, happy, and lively guy who’s full of fun and joy! I’m also a sweet, energetic pup with a big personality - a lot of dog in a smaller package. I love being active, meeting people, and bringing smiles wherever I go. When I play, I’m animated, and all-in, especially with toys and people - life is just more fun when you play big! Once I’ve had enough exercise, I do a good job matching the energy in the room and when my people are relaxing, I am often happy to chill on the couch with them and entertain himself with my rope, ball or Kong. / Energy level: 7-9, so I’ll want a family that will be very active with me and that will like my animated playstyle. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University Prison Pups immersive training experience, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Some of the volunteers report that I seem to know how to heel, too. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / I’m doing well with my crate manners at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. adoptive home at nighttime, too, though they reported that I likely wouldn’t do well for a regular workday in a crate. / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program that I was in, and my temp. adoptive family reported that I did well on their takeout schedule, though I did not alert when I needed to go out, so a good schedule is important. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with durable toys such as a Kong toy, a rope toy and heavier duty tennis balls. I also enjoy riding in cars, Pup-Peroni treats, being with and playing with people as well as soaking up attention and cuddling with the volunteers after playtime is finished! I also like to pick up small things that are left out in the home such as Legos, hair ties, bobby pins, etc. so please keep small things put away. / I can be startled by some objects that I don’t yet understand such as a child’s upright scooter, long poles that are used to wash a car, etc. Just gently show them to me so I can understand them. I’m also sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m a wonderful young dog looking for a wonderful family that will be active and have loads of fun with me for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
