Description

Meet Sally! We accepted this cutie early June 2026 when she was rejected by a local SD shelter for being FeLV postive.  We where contacted by her rescuers seeking assitance and we took her in. We do NOT accept Felv kitties, however, this little girl was headed to a cage for life since her rescuer does not believe in euthanasia and that is NO life for ANY animal. We had though about euthanasing this little monkey after a couple of days of relaxation and fun at casa de arwob so she can at least enjoy life, something she had not had since she was stuck in a kennel for a month since she was found. Actually this little girl along with other 3 kittens (brothers) were found in the streets of Tijuana. Interestling enough, this girl brothers were taken to the shelter 2 weeks ago and passed the test as they were FeLV negative.  Not sure how as its not commong for litter mates to be negative and one to be positive. Usually its an all or nothing situation. She is the RUNT of that litter almost a whole pound difference, so it could be not from same litter or just smaller because of the virus. What we can say is she looks much smaller than what she acts. She is a VERY smart, outgoing, fun, loving, social, easy going little baby whom we think will be a petite size full grown. Thankfully we had a foster who can take in small kitties and this little girl fit the description. Currently being fostered by a senior in an appartment setting as the only pet and she is loving life. We do have another Felv positive kitten in case you are looking for a pair of kittens (take a look at the bio for sweetie!) interested in helping her? Must have a home with NO other cats, or cats who are Felv positive. She will do great with children and/or cats. We do not know how she would be with cat friendly dogs but we think she would be great around dogs.  Please, do your research on Felv. The cliff notes? It's a feline specific dissease which is highly infectious to other cats via body fluids (no grooming each either, smelling each other or nose to nose, physical interactions or sharing bowls, toys or litter box) FeLV cats can live to be senior cats but many do start going down hill as teenagers or young adults. There is NO cure for Felv and her foster/adopter must know, when the time comes ei quality of life is down she MUST be euthanized ideally at home or at the vet of course. We can say she is a love bug, her muffing making factory is always ON and adores to play, especially with the lazer toy. She is a total shadow kitten follows her current foster and loves attention. Please, DO NOT inquire for this kitten if you want to save her life afraid of her being euthanized, only inquire about her if you are serious of forever adopting a felv cat meaning you have done your research and understand she could be with you as little as 3 months or as long as 13yrs. Emotion is a big risk for these type of kitties and she will have to be a one kitty household for life unless you plan on adopting Felv ONLY cats moving fwd. Felv cats can have low immune system so its imperative they are INDOOR cats to keep them healthy and street cats not infected. Interested in fostering? that is amazing but also, you have to be ready for the emotional rollercoaster that comes with her being sick and the rescue having to make the decision to euthanize which is extremely hard unless you have been exposed to this kind of situation. We do not want anyone's heart to be broken and hence know the huge undertaking of chooosing to adopt an felv cat. YES, we have run both a SNAP test and IFA test, absolutely an FeLV kitty. Take a look at her vidoes she is the cutest thing. To meet this sweetie, submit a cat adoption or foster application online at ARWOB.org and we will text or email to schedule a call and get the process started. She is in the 92111 zip code thanks
