Description

Lamb is a gorgeous girl who will ask for a little patience from you…and then completely melt your heart.   She spends her days chasing toys, cuddling her foster brothers, watching Bird TV with great seriousness, and batting a ball back and forth like she’s in the World Cup. At night she sleeps at your feet, makes biscuits, and purrs like she’s always lived there.   The most amazing thing about Lamb has been watching her confidence grow.   When she first came into foster care, she’d reach out with one tiny paw to tap you, then dart away…checking whether she was ready for more. Little by little, she learned that people can be safe.   Then one day, her foster parent got sick and spent two days in bed. Without any treats or encouragement, Lamb climbed up onto the bed simply to keep her company. She snuggled close, curled up on her stomach, made biscuits, purred, and stayed there just because she wanted to be with her. That was the moment it became clear that Lamb wasn’t just tolerating people anymore… she had learned to trust.   Once Lamb decides you’re her person, she leans into pets, seeks out affection, purrs, and wants to follow you around. Watching her choose connection has been one of the most rewarding parts of fostering her.   Lamb came to us from a colony in Bed-Stuy. When she was first trapped, her rescuer reached into the trap with a gentle tabbico kitten who was softly meowing. Lamb didn’t shy away. She leaned into the pets and immediately began to purr. That sweetness has always been there. She just needed time to believe that people could be kind.   If you’re willing to let a shy kitten blossom on her own timeline, you’ll get to experience something truly special: earning the trust of a cat who chooses to love you. And once she does, she doesn’t look back. She's 1 year old, spayed, vaccinated, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She should be adopted into a home with a friendly resident cat because she loves other cats. To adopt Lamb, fill out the form on our Website: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ Mention Lamb as the cat and Suse as the rescuer.
