Sage is at that awkward age where he's basically a teenager with long legs, endless energy, and approximately 47 exciting ideas every minute. His current hobbies include collecting zoomies, tossing toys around like they're Olympic events, and convincing people that every walk should be an adventure. Don't let his kennel behavior fool you! Sage can be a little shy when you first meet him behind the kennel door, but the moment he spots a leash, he's ready to clock in for `Best Boy` duty. Once outside, his personality blooms into a fun-loving, affectionate goofball who enjoys attention, playing with people, and showing off his toy collection. At just 42 pounds, he may pull a little on leash when excitement kicks in, but he's very manageable and eager to get moving.Sage already knows sit, may even offer a shake, and always takes treats like the polite gentleman he's trying very hard to become. He's still working on his manners (he occasionally forgets all four paws belong on the ground), so a training class would be a fantastic way to help this smart young shepherd shine. If you're looking for a hiking buddy, jogging partner, or someone who's always up for a daily walk, Sage is ready to lace up his imaginary sneakers. He has the energy to keep up and the heart to become your loyal sidekick.Sage has shown friendly interest in several dogs through the fence, but because he can be shy when meeting new friends, a meet and greet is recommended for any resident dogs. Due to his energetic, occasionally jumpy nature, he's recommended for kids 12 and older.
