She missed out on important early socialization experiences, so she’s still figuring out how to feel safe and comfortable around human attention and interaction. Her ideal adopter understands that socialization is an active process. Fritos will need to begin in a small room and have multiple short, positive socialization sessions each day for several weeks to help her build confidence. With time, routine, and patience, she can learn to relax and let her personality shine. Without that support, she may remain fearful and withdrawn. Fritos is looking for a home with another confident, social cat who will help show her the ropes and offer comfort as she settles in. Because she needs time and space to build trust, she is not a good fit for young children. The reward for putting in the effort will be watching her blossom into a playful, affectionate companion.
