Description

* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 27th from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event.   All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $750 Gefilte Fish (aka Little G): Tiny Supervisor, Toy Collector, Professional Heart Thief   If you've ever wanted a puppy who is equal parts adorable sidekick, toy enthusiast, office manager, and cuddle buddy, allow us to introduce Gefilte Fish— also known as Little G. At just 10-12 weeks old, this ridiculously cute pup has already mastered the art of winning hearts and running a household.   Meet Little G   Gefilte starts his day between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. and immediately heads outside for his morning potty break. He's already developing excellent potty habits and follows his routine with impressive dedication. In fact, he prefers to use the exact same potty spot every time, carefully inspecting and re-inspecting the area as if conducting quality control.   After breakfast, Little G settles into one of his favorite daily activities: supervising his favorite human. Whether they're working, walking around the house, or simply sitting down, Gefilte is nearby making sure everything is proceeding according to his standards.   The rest of his day is filled with meals, naps, play sessions, and important toy-related business.   The World's Cutest Velcro Puppy   Gefilte quickly bonded with his favorite person after arriving in foster care and happily follows them from room to room. While he definitely has a favorite, he's generous with his affection and enjoys spending time with everyone in the household.   He's a wonderful cuddler who loves curling up beside his people whenever given the opportunity. If there's a soft bed, blanket, couch cushion, or lap available, Little G will happily claim it for a nap.   One of his favorite hobbies is quietly observing his human while they work. His foster family swears he watches with such concentration that he appears to be making sure every task is completed correctly.   Toy Collector Extraordinaire   Most puppies play with toys.   Gefilte curates a toy collection.   This clever little guy has somehow managed to locate toys hidden by foster dogs long gone and gathers them into a growing treasure pile near his favorite bed. If a toy exists somewhere in the house, Gefilte will eventually find it and add it to his collection.   When he's not organizing his inventory, he's often stretched out in a sunny spot, soaking up the warmth like a tiny professional sunbather.   Dog-Friendly and Easygoing   Gefilte lives with two small resident dogs and has adapted beautifully to both personalities.   He loves playing with the friendly resident dog who welcomed him immediately. The other dog prefers his personal space, and Gefilte has shown impressive social skills by respecting those boundaries—even if he occasionally checks to see whether the rules have changed.   His foster family describes him as remarkably confident, relaxed, and easygoing. Very little seems to rattle him, and he settles comfortably into new situations.   Smart Puppy with Great Habits   For such a young puppy, Gefilte is already developing some impressive life skills.   He is crate-trained and has done well without needing an exercise pen. He's comfortable spending time with the resident dogs and settles nicely into household routines.   When he needs to potty indoors, he reliably seeks out his designated potty area or potty pads. He also happily chews appropriate chew sticks to keep himself occupied between naps and play sessions.   The Perfect Home   Gefilte is the kind of puppy who could fit into many different homes. He's adaptable, social, and eager to be part of the family.   He would thrive with adopters who can continue providing puppy training, enrichment, and plenty of companionship. His playful nature would make him a wonderful fit for an active family, children who understand how to interact with puppies, or another playful dog who can keep up with his enthusiasm.   Most of all, he wants to be included in whatever his people are doing.   Why You'll Fall in Love   There are a lot of cute puppies in the world, but there's something special about Little G. He's confident without being pushy, affectionate without being demanding, playful without being overwhelming, and endlessly entertaining.   And then there are the slippers.   When Gefilte feels he's not receiving the level of attention he deserves—or when his negotiations to join you in bed are unsuccessful—your bedroom slippers may mysteriously disappear. They won't be damaged. They'll simply be relocated to one of his favorite napping spots as a gentle reminder that he'd like to discuss your priorities.   It's impossible not to laugh.   Gefilte Fish is the kind of puppy who quickly becomes the center of the household. Whether he's supervising your workday, expanding his toy empire, stealing a sunny spot on the floor, or cuddling up for a nap, he brings joy wherever he goes.   If you're looking for a loyal little shadow with a huge personality and an even bigger heart, Little G is ready to report for duty.
