Description

Rosemary is the definition of grace. She has been through a lot of change, but no matter where she goes, she's the most gentle and sweet cat that greets everyone with love. She's a calm and easygoing companion who loves to explore her surroundings and be a part of your life. If you had a hard week, she'll intentionally seek you out and lay down next to you. She's incredibly gentle with you and you can pick her up and carry her around the house as she does not use her claws. Rosemary has the sweetest, soft meows and will tell you when she would like a snack or some attention. Food is definitely her love language. She recently discovered Churus and her life is changed. While she's a mostly laid back lady, she has a playful side when you bring out a string wand toy. But her most favorite toy she's obsessed with are the toy mice that she'll run around the house to play with. She's independent enough to entertain herself as she loves to look out the window, but affectionate enough to make you feel loved every day. This animal is FeLV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), is a virus that attacks the immune system of a cat. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives— but they have a shorter life expectancy than FeLV negative cats. Over time, an infected cat's health may progressively deteriorate or he/she may experience repeating cycles of illness and relative health. Close monitoring and regular vet care are important to manage the disease. Any close contact among cats can spread FeLV, including bite wounds, mutual grooming, or sharing feeding dishes and litter boxes, so they should be housed without other cats or only with other FeLV+ cats. Because DPA believes these special cats still deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, the adoption fee for FeLV+ cats will be discounted 50%.
